WB! as SoD travels to the Eternal Gorge for ...a Daring Confrontation

As Christmas approaches I have so little time to play. I caught a schedule break and had some time to get back to EQ2 for some writ work and a guild raid. This was a x2 target, so it wasn't really hard. I liked the instance, but went LD between encounters. I snapped this when I got back, not expecting the chat bubble. Sometimes it just works... It certainly was nice to get back.

I'm starting to like the "frost" glow on my new axe.

Aren't you an officer of SoD?

Blakk says..
We don't need no stinkin' rez... pull it again NOW...

I know that guild officers work thier butts off to keep large groups of people working together. Before I had evolved from my lizard stage, I was 2nd in line to one of the best group commanders I have had the pleasure to group with, team with, play with, and die next to. But I am still going to post this picture from todays raid.

My mind immediately went back to another infamous dead blakk incident. This picture is a hint... guess where it is before you scroll to the bottom of the post.

Death is part of the game, but blakk takes it to new level, as he ignores the fact that Lord Vyemm has already whacked him.
LARGE file warning

In deference to all that blakk does, I offer the following agreement. If you can answer a question about this picture I will consider not posting more of these....

Q: Which one is Demi?

And now, the answer to the"infamous blakk death location" question... got helicopter??

blakk dies halfway down the elevator shaft into the mine trying to show off his safe fall..

Who let the dragon out...

Now that's a target!

Here we are, taking a moment to soak it all in as we come face to face with a "capital D" dragon. It's one heck of a view. This was the first time in for most of us.

I took a break before we started fighting to pose. This is a BIG place.

It took 3 or 4 attempts to get the dragon positioned over the moat where we were hiding, then it went down fairly fast. 3 big dragons in 3 days was quite the task..

This was quite a crew. Kudos to all.

A Special Thanks to the KoTS folks who allowed us to join in this raid. Taking Tarinax down was a major effort and we really worked well together. In fact, we were done so fast we had time for another run in our Saturday afternoon.

3 trips to the mender later...

Yes, that's a dead dragon.

This one was very stubborn and took me three trips to complete. All of a sudden everything clicked and we were left standing around wondering how it could have been so hard. I had some time to take a couple pix of this trophy. I can't confim the date against the guild forum posts yet, but it is definately a SoD/KoTS group.

Cruor Alluvium - 74 Epicx4

Here's a shot from our trip to visit the Cruor Alluvium. The EPICx4 are tough fights in almost every case. I do nort remember ever winning this one. We went in prepared and came out all busted up. I could be wrong... anyone?
